    Yes this is the break-in period, BUT, the oil from the factory is 10-60. Break-in rules: under 5500 rpm's, under 106 mph, no steady speed ect. Scott

    All your comments and recommendations are welcome! BMW recommends keeping this oil in for up to 15,000 miles. Can't see that, and will slowly move my oil changes out to a maximum of 5000 (if analysis looks ok) from 2500. Scott
