paying by the ton to get rid of old tires

2 or 3 times a year the city has some kind of collection for all kinds of stuff. Earth day they have a few sites set up for everything...donated, trash, appliances, paint, tires electronics and more. There is a limit to the number of tires per address. Pretty easy to get rid of a lot with family...

No sleep this weekend due to idiots

+1 on using/adding some different sighs. Private drive, private property beyond this point or you are trespassing beyond this point signs may be more informational then just the no trespassing signs. As to your sign with directions to the springs being stolen.....sounds like someone (maybe...

Car stalled and engine knocking after service test

Looking at how it ended up, I'm upset that they chose to have a trainee do the ride along just to have another tech take it out anyways. It would have been different if it happened while I was driving with a tech. Also not hearing from them for 2 hours instead of the 30 minutes and not being...

Car stalled and engine knocking after service test

Car stalled and engine knocking after service test drive. Background info is 2004 Grand Prix GTP w/ 75000 miles. The car is owned by my dad but used exclusively by his GF. I did have 2 days use of it, the day before going to the dealership, and the day of the dealership. Problem: The car had...

Haven't heard back from the OP yet, sure hope he doesn't do 3K oil changes. 100 mile round trip to work, say 5 days a week. 500 miles per week. Oil changes every 6 weeks and 8 oil changes a year not even counting daily driving around town and weekends or road trips. $$$ OUCH

Silverado brake time - AC delco vs AAP products

After it was pointed that the Durastops were not OE, I priced out the actual OE at $205. Priced out the very popular combo of Akebono pads and Centric rotors for 175 so that's what I decided to give a try. Already ordered so no changing now. If I can get another 6yrs, 70K miles for 175 and some...

Silverado brake time - AC delco vs AAP products

Now it changes everything seeing that to go with the OE pads and rotors that I was so happy with is now $204.85...I can look at the other suggestions I've seen about Akebono, centric, Raybestos, hawk, among other suggestions I've been taking notes of over that last few months. Pretty much opens...

Silverado brake time - AC delco vs AAP products

I have no personal history of use with really any brands. I haven't had the pleasure to have tried many different brands to personally know how they do or how they last. I really have no personal reason to use, or not use any specific brands. The only bench mark I have is I know how the...
