    Plastic fender flares

The forever black works very well and lasts me 6 months to a year. I usually apply at least two coats and protect it with 303 when dry.

    Oilf for VW TDI?

No, the dealer's oil is not your only choice. You do have a limited number of domestically available options for 505.01 oil. Motul, Elf, Pentosin, Quaker State and Lubro-Moly have 505.01 rated oils however, none of these you will likely find at your local auto parts store. I suggest you check...

    '00 VW TDI - 15k OCI - Delvac1/M1

I have never had it on the dyno but, based on others with the same mods, I would estimate 130-140 hp and 230-240 ft/lbs torque. Even with the mods, I still get 48-50 MPG Avg.

    '00 VW TDI - 15k OCI - Delvac1/M1

The Old Navy CCV (Crank Case Vent) is an improved CCV filter system for the TDI. It helps control the amount of oil being sucked/blown into the intake system which in turn contributes to intake clogging.

    '00 VW TDI - 15k OCI - Delvac1/M1

This is an update to my previous posts. This 15k mile sample was taken with 115k miles on the vehicle and is listed as the 3rd entry in each row. I used a mix of Delvac1 and M1 TSUV. Fuel was ARCO ECD-1 ULSD. I am working with Terry Dyson and have been using Lube Control (LC20) in the oil and...

    Overspray Problem

Meguiars, and possibly others, do make more aggressive clays than you would normally use for detailing. C2100 is the Meguiars aggressive clay. Check their website.

    2000 VW Jetta TDI - Delvac 1 - 10,000 miles

Pitzel, As for the soot level, I am hoping that some changes to my additive mix may help a bit there. MAF looks good as of the last time I logged it with Vag-Com. I am probably due for another logging session soon. JHZR2, The TDI only holds about 4.5 quarts of oil. So, not much oil to manage...

    2000 VW Jetta TDI - Delvac 1 - 10,000 miles

This is an update to my previous posts. This 10k mile sample was taken with 100k miles on the vehicle and is listed as the 4th entry in each row. I am still using Delvac 1 and running ARCO ECD-1 ULSD with Primrose 405/402 as my fuel. Below is my previous post with my new data included. This...

    2000 VW Jetta TDI - Delvac 1 - 10,000 miles

I'm not sure what is considered a maximum level of soot. I think some may use 2% but I personally don't think I would ever let it go that high. Yes, at 60k it got the 100k belt, tensioner, all rollers and a water pump. I should be set to 160k.

    2000 VW Jetta TDI - Delvac 1 - 10,000 miles

This is an update to my previous post. This 10k mile sample was taken with 90k miles on the vehicle and is listed as the 3rd entry in each row. I am still using Delvac 1 and running ARCO ECD-1 ULSD with Primrose 405/402 as my fuel. The only new modification is a CAT 2 micron fuel filter. Below...

    2003 Tacoma V6 with amsoil 10w30

I have posted quite a bit of my UOA data for my '02 V6 Tacoma. Search the UOA section for user 436. The copper does look high. I would suggest laying off the intake cleaner for the next UOA.

    Jetta Diesel

With a lot of miles on the car and no maintenance history, you might want to do what I did when I bought my Jetta TDI. Consider starting off with an Auto-RX treatment and then switch over to the oil of your choice. Check out the "additives" forum on this website or visit the Auto-RX website for...

    Toyota Tacoma Air Filter Question

Stick with the OEM Denso filter. Oil analysis results confirm that they do an excellent job of keeping the dirt out. Also, don't change the filter too often. Beleive it or not, air filters get more efficient at trapping dirt with use.
