Mobil1 0W-40 SN better than SM or GC

GC has a much lower 166 VI to the 185 VI of M1 0W-40 so even the much heavier 3.8cP SN M1 0W-40 will be lighter on start-up even at temp's as high as 80F. One of the specs that holds me back on this product is MRV of 31,000 at -40. This oil is much thicker at cold temps than 5W-30 or 0W-30...

I recently bought a 2007 Saab 9-3 2.0T 6-speed with 106k as a daily driver. It has the high output turbo but has not been modified nor will it be modified. The recommended oil is stated as Saab 0w-30 or Mobil 1 0w-40. The oils I'm considering are Shell Rotella T6 5w-40, German Castrol 0w-30...
