I'm just concerned he wants me to pay for a new gearbox when the old one was fine

I picked it up Monday. Just reviewing things he's told me that don't seem to add up. It's unfinished and now I'm left with a headache

I've picked up my Bronco and all. Just wondering if the gearbox was actually leaking like he said, or if he replaced it just because he could not figure it out.

I posted about engine issues a shop is having that was doing a restoration for me. More issues?? He contacted me a while back and said they were having trouble figuring out the hoses on the power steering. Mentioned it again later. They were really lost and unable to figure out the 2 hoses...

You may be right. Damage is done. Make sure is properly started and address issues that arise. Idk. Lesson learned for sure

I'm thinking it needs tore down. He did say he looked at the cam with a flashlight. Not saying it can't be done, but it's that any kind of real indicator to possible damage just looking down the push rods passages (whatever is called. I'm no mechanic)

Well we had some words this morning. I asked if he prelubrd it and he laughed. "Why would o prelube an engine that was running". So I'm on my way home with an unfinished project.

So he must texted me and it does have hydraulic lifters. So idk *** he meant when he said they were adjusting vslves.

I'm thinking maybe he didn't.
