Not sure. My oil temp sensor on the dash stays right in the middle. Only put on about 1000 miles since I changed the oil a few months ago.

I put the 5w40 Euro Pennzoil in the F95. So far seems to be running ok. How did you know it was running hot?

Isn't that LL-04 more for Diesels and European gas? Or is LL-04 > LL-01 ?

Where did you find that stuff? I went to Advanced auto, and I'm pretty sure they had the old stock as well.

I think it is fairly fresh. Not sure why it doesn't have the LL01 cert on it. I used it in my RR Ghost. I ordered the Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5w40 to use in my 2021 X5M. Although the book calls for 5w30, I think the 5w40 is a better oil from what I have read.

Should I care it's a few years old?? It's gotta be at least 3 yrs old?

So what would be better? Pennzoil Euro 5w40 or 5w30? My X5M book calls for 0w30 ?

Think I'm going to return this and go with the Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5W40. Is the Pennzoil a good choice for both the X5M S63 and the Rolls Royce Ghost V12 N74 ?? Or should I just go to the dealer and get the BMW TwinTurbo LL01 oil? I've read the turbos get really hot in these and the right oil...

So I used the Amazon link above for the Castrol Edge oil. As some of the reviews on the Amazon site stated, I believe I received an old batch. It does not have LL01 rating. I believe the new batches have the LL01 rating, but some time ago it was removed. I reluctant to use this oil, and I think...

What do you guys think of additives? I used to use Cera Tec in my Mercedes. I've read don't use additives in these BMW engines??

Looks like Walmart has this in store. Is this the same stuff? Looks like a different bottle/packaging.

So my final choice looks like either Castrol Edge Euro 0w30 or 0w40. Any idea which one would be the best for both cars?
