    Amazon Basics 0W-40 Euro 5-qt $6.72 @ AMZ limit 6

You'd have to wait for it to be back in stock before it'll let you add to cart or add to list or save for later. It's inconvenient for constantly checking stock, I know. Sorry, I didn't know it was posted for slightly cheaper two weeks ago. I viewed it a couple days ago and it was $27. It came...

What are you working on today?

Yeah, this was actually bought as a Gates Premium on RA. I took a gamble because the previous Gates Premium I bought for a Windstar was a Stant - I don't know if it was a Superstat or their regular one but it worked well. Very disappointed this time. I learned my lesson to not preemptively...

What are you working on today?

I hope you all are having a nice holiday. I used most of today to replace a faulty thermostat in the Jeep 4.0L. A flush with some simple green and then some water flushes before I removed it. The car wouldn't get to operating temperature - it would get 1/3 during the summer but now it's cold...

    Amntifreeze for my Nissan

There are two ST Blue coolants - the earlier one 797496881625 is made by Prestone. The latest one, 652138104336, which you can also order online is made by KOST/Recochem. The MSDS doesn't say much for that one.

    Amntifreeze for my Nissan

http://msds.walmartstores.com/ Search by UPC to get the most accurate result because there are sometimes multiple suppliers for the 'same' product. 2/5 WM Superstores have the ST Blue in stock near me. None of the 3 closest Neighborhood Markets, however.

    Amntifreeze for my Nissan

Got a Walmart nearby with this in stock? https://www.walmart.com/ip/Super-Tech-OE-Blue-Antifreeze-Prediluted-50-50/951141259 Made by Kost/Recochem. Also, if it's just a little low... why not just add a bit of water?

Acura PS hoses - Edelman or Sunsong (OEM NLA)

I've never used Edelman but I've used Sunsong for the high pressure PS hose. Great fitment and it seems well made. No problems yet after 6 years.

    Ignore this Walmart craziness.

That is true, but setting filters still helps immensely. More than a few times, WM's online ordering prices were cheaper than the in-store price.

2000’s Volvo? Would you buy one?

Yeah, I just don't know if it's mostly XC90s or if there are just more XC90s sold. I thought it might be the weight, but I've only taken these off of XC90s at the yard even with the FCPEuro's fitment guide page because I don't see AWD S60s/V70s when I'm there. I only have an XC90 so I can't...

2000’s Volvo? Would you buy one?

A lot of fluids are 'lifetime' on these Volvos, and yes it shouldn't be. No, you didn't say the angle gear is a wear item but the transmission collar isn't the only failure point. I just don't agree that with proper gear oil changes, the angle gear will be fine. 5.5/6 XC90s with gear oil in the...

2000’s Volvo? Would you buy one?

The collar can be replaced, but the entire AG shouldn't be a wear-item. It's not just the collar itself on an XC90, the actual angle gear input shaft is one-piece to the pinion gear and is not replaceable by itself. That part strips out too.

2000’s Volvo? Would you buy one?

And disagree about the angle gear being fine with maintenance. Not on an XC90, at least. There is a service procedure to reseal it so it doesn't leak on the earlier model years, 06 XC90 angle gear incorporated the TSB change. But more commonly it's the outside connection to the transmission...

2000’s Volvo? Would you buy one?

I like the 5-cylinder turbocharged engine better than the 3.2 that replaced it in some models. They are good durable cars and repairs aren't bad if you've done it a few times. The first time might involve some yelling and possibly throwing of tools. My XC90 has very comfortable but cracked...
