As I understand it, no freon flow = no lubrication. It should always bypass a little so I don't see harm in driving it with the aim of repairing it. If you ignore it, you'll eventually lunch the compressor but you don't seem the type.

I like the FlyBy30 because it seems to accept more product when it starts to fade. It also doesn't affect wiper functionality. I have used other ceramic products and the wipers either skip or leave a film/fog when wiping or when the product fades and you re-apply it doesn't seem to bond...

Yes. Mine had the gray interior and everything I touched scratched and peeled. Aside from that it was a solid car. Had to fix some oil leaks, and I did have the broken head bolt under the cam gear that the early cars can get. Drove awesome.

If the car is in good overall condition I say go for it. My '06 had a lot of soft-touch plastics that would peel and scratch, and it was only 6 years old at the time.
