No question Endurance has inferior bypass. I loaded up on remaining 10 year old “OG”s known as FPS Gold recently from Rock Auto. Having said this, I will eventually use my Endurance stock…since the wire backed 100% synthetic media is still superior to most filters available.
I found another post with same car and same problem! Someone pointed out that INBOARD joint leaks (like mine) aren’t as critical, due to less overall stress on them.
Inspection at oil change and they say I have torn boot??
Really??? They recommended axel be replaced !! 😂😂😂😂
I call BS
This looks like typical grease being thrown off at the clamp. Maybe excess??
FPS going into my car next week. Got a bunch from Rock Auto a while back. No date code found, but assume it’s 10 years old. All of them look “pristine” as well.
BTW, I’ll still use my Endurance stash as well.
What’s the average gas milage?
I have same 2019 Engine in a Sonata with only 38k miles. I got car at 23K mikes a year ago. Using R&P with 6K OC and Techron every 3K mi. I get around 28MPH combined driving.
Zero oil consumption over 6K miles OC intervals.
Agree 100%.
It’s a “defect “ but not enough to make a difference and override this superior filter and overall construction.
I don’t subscribe to “15%” is bypassed .
Whatever is bypassed initially is immediately filtered anyway.
I will continue to use the Endurance.
