I am sold on Mobil ESP 0w30 for my Turbo EcoBoost,but I get oil changes at the Ford dealer and worry they would flag me warranty wise. :unsure:

There is so much research out there showing 5w30 with lower viscosity protecting turbo engines very well. Changing the oil is more important. As long as your doing an OCI of 5,000 or less, any 5w30 will protect a turbo.

What makes you say this?

The 3.5 EcoBoost from Ford has it in the 2026 models.

I drive 108 miles round trip everyday. After doing it for years, it only seems like 30 minutes. LOL.

You have Havoline at your Walmart?!? I have NEVER seen Havoline available at Walmart.

Are there any non-Euro oils off the shelf that have a 3.5 HTHS?

I looked at the thread...I don't get it. What does it show that keeps Valvoline on the avoid list? What was the experience you are referencing? It isn't EP either, his thread is about Valvoline Restore and Protect.

Hey, Gents! I recently went with Valvoline Advanced 5w30 for my last oil change with dealer under warranty. So, in 5,000 miles, I will be out of warranty and I will be doing oil changes myself at home. OCI will stay 5,000 miles, but I am wondering which of these oils will best for year round...

3.5 EcoBoost. Only two choices: Valvoline Advanced 5w30 or Quaker State Ultimate Protection 5w30. Total oil change would have a $4 difference between the two, so the price is negligible. Which one and why?

This looks good. I am going to use it in my 3.5 Ecoboost next.
