    New Holland tractor questions

I asked the seller some more questions about the tractor. There isn't any maintenance records and it still had the original clutch. Based on what has been said about a clutch change, I decided to pass on the tractor / mower combo. Though that batwing mower setup would have been nice to have...

    New Holland tractor questions

Doesn't have a loader, I think it is 2WD. I would mow other sections throughout the year but I have a zero turn for that. I don't want to hire someone to mow things down, people aren't reliable anymore. As the saying goes, you want something done right, you do it yourself. My first thought...

    New Holland tractor questions

I don't know the condition of the tractor, other than what the listing reports. It does have the big grooved tires. I would prefer a smaller tractor for ease of storage and cost of upkeep / repair. I prefer to have a cab cover to keep me out of the sun, either already attached or I can add...

    New Holland tractor questions

Since I don't care if the grass looks "nice", I am leaning more towards a bush hog to be able to do both. If I leave stuff grow for a season, and it is like 5 foot tall, I am thinking the bush hog is needed. I cut it now with a 60 inch zero turn and it takes me 3 1/2 hours. I would like to...

    New Holland tractor questions

It has a diesel engine. The seller said the mower is for cutting grass where as a bush hog can cut more than grass, but doesn't do as well of a job with grass but better on thicker material.

    New Holland tractor questions

I am looking at a New Holland 3930 tractor, 1995 model. It has over 6300 hours on the meter though. Does that seem like high time for a tractor? I don't know anything about tractors. I am looking one to help ease my mowing of 5 acres of grass. I also want to plant some wild flowers so would...

Lucas 10005 "red n tacky" opinons and grease gun to get

Thanks all, i wound up using the Red n Tacky. I had an old Pittsburgh Tools from H.F. I bought at least years ago. I forgot it was a pistol grip style so I used it. Seemed to work fine for what I need. I do remember the grease I used before leaking out of it but don't know if it was the...

Lucas 10005 "red n tacky" opinons and grease gun to get

I got a tube of Lucas 10005 red n tacky for my J.D. z515. It says it is a type 2 NLGI which JD says to use. It is half the price of JD stuff of course. Would like opinions of the grease and fine to use on my zero turn. Also, which reasonably price grease gun is best to get? I don't need an...

Oil cooler and Gauges on JD Z320m

I like the BS10 version more as I think it would cool better. The one on ebay doesn't include the adapter for the oil filter, just the cooler and lines. I will keep looking...

Oil cooler and Gauges on JD Z320m

I just got the oil filter aluminum cooler. I work on getting on and clear anything in the way... Shoz - I do like your version better. Once you get it working correctly, can you make a list of everything you need and do for replication? Thanks

Oil cooler and Gauges on JD Z320m

OK, just mowed for about 1 1/2 hours. Once done, the temp at the back top of the oil filter (near the grip stuff) was 225 degrees. As I suspected, the grip stuff temp was a little lower at 215 degrees. Closer to the engine was also about 215 degrees. This will be my baseline info so now I...

Oil cooler and Gauges on JD Z320m

I bought the 80mm one, so I will test it and report back what I find. It will take about 10-14 days to get.

Oil cooler and Gauges on JD Z320m

I just measured my 3614, I have a little under 2" of filter body b4 I get to the textured "grip" material. The 100mm would be too long. Th 80 mm would extend the whole filter basically. I don't know if the grip material would hurt the cooling process as it might act as an insulation? The 66...

Oil cooler and Gauges on JD Z320m

I found the same style unit, this one is another 14mm in length. Price is better. There is also a 100 mm (almost 4") long available as well. That might work better for the Fram 3600 filter...

Oil cooler and Gauges on JD Z320m

I also found this type of bolt on cooler.. it goes around the oil filter itself. This is an "easy install". Do you think it would actually do any good? I guess it is better than nothing though...
