My CR-V calls for 0w-20. The wife's car is a 2009 Kia borrego v8 with 170k on it. Could I use the 0w-20 in both.

I wasnt set on the supertech. curious as to what seemed to be the consensus a s a good oil for it. I was going to use wix xp. Would there be something better to use? not sure if the 2.4 is picky about filters like the hyundai kia engines.

I just bought a 2013 CR-V 2.4 with 72k on the clock. According to the service records it has had regular oil changes from the dealer. When i change the oil I will be taking a sample. It calls for 0w-20 what seems to be the recommended oil for the 2.4 these days. Thanks

I have run about 1100 miles since the change it has burned a little more than a quart. Is that considered excessive?

I am going to be keeping a close eye on it. I had seafoam on hand so I added that and in a couple of days i will be changing the oil with some PYB hi mileage 5w30.

I have done a few UOA's on this engine it didnt show any issues. I am very good with oil changes with an interval of about 5000. This issue has started recently. I am going to change the oil soon and really keep an eye on it.

Forgot to add that underbody was dry. i changed pcv. how would I know of the other 2 main reasons?

I have a 15 Soul 2.0 GDI with approximately 105000 miles. I have notice a pretty high oil consumption of about 2.5 qts in about 2k miles. I have been using super tech 5w-20 full synthetic. I did some research and spme people said to replace the PCV valve. we will see if that makes any...

I was thinking of going with 10k oci because I was going to try amsoil's new oil. But seems the consensus seems to stick with regular oci.

Would the OEM Hyundai Kia filter be adequate for an extended oil change interval of 10000.

i was going to ask a similar question. i just purchased a 2015 soul with the 2.0 GDI. I read a lot of stuff out there about using certain types of oil in GDI's. anyone have advice about what i should use. Thanks
