Flooring a car with 0-20w oil after a few minutes

Concur with above. Tried to take an oil level measurement our G05 after refueling and it wouldn't let me saying it wasnt up to operating temp despite the temp gauge reading in the middle and a 20 min run time from startup. Switched to adaptive content in sport mode and temp was reading 163.

2010 5.7 hemi oil/filter recommendation (may or may not have early signs of cam wear)

If you want to verify an internal problem an easy check is to pull the intake, then pull the VVT solenoid and check the screen on the solenoid for metal shavings. If no shavings then you should be ok on the lifters/cam. This isn't as hard as it sounds, took me all of an hour. My Challenger...

Which brands come with drain plug gaskets?

The 4 Mahles I've used had them, and the Mann i have on the shelf has it as well.

    Pennzoil Platinum Gear Oil

Many moons ago I bought some from Chief Petroleum here in Colorado Springs. Had to buy it in case lit quantity, tho. Hope this helps.

Anyone seen an NGDV (Next Gen Delivery Vehicle) yet?

Not here yet. They were running the old S10 based trucks, just recently switched over to the Mercedes based vans. Amazon is starting to run their electric vans, tho.

Anyone seen TOP TIER + at any gas pumps ?

Fueled up this week at the Costco in west Colorado Springs and they had it. Luckily we missed the diesel mix up that happened in Denver. Ouch.

Give feedback on suspension products you installed.

Installed A Premium struts and shocks from Amazon on a 2019 Grand Caravan and were pleasantly surprised. Fit well, ride height and quality same as OE and 10k in still working well. Struts were complete assemblies. I'd do it again.

    Post your latest brake job

2021JGC. 45k miles, redo of a job just done 10k miles prior. #1 son had it and overheated fronts severely, warping rotors and glazing pads. I think he rides the brakes. Installed new Akebono pads F & R, new Raybestos coated rotors and bled brakes. That was good, able to flush the system again...

BMW 230i - out with the old and in with the new

Congrats! Nice car, i kinda like the silver. We have 2, a 25 and a 24, both with the M Sport suspension packages and Xdrive, the 25 has the M Sport brake and ELSD also. The 25 has 19s, the 24 has 18s, both square. We really like them, great for tooling around town, squirting in and out of...

    Microgard Select MSL10010 issue

To satisfy my curiosity, I pulled the old filter out of the trash and took some measurements: Filter media length, 4 3/4; overall length, 6 1/4; overall diameter 2"; center hole diameter 1". Practically no difference from the measurements Glenda W posted, so I doubt my theory of being too...

    Microgard Select MSL10010 issue

Interesting. I've also had some a tad too long and as a result, come out twisted. I used to see that regularly with the old style Pentastar filter (the ones that went over the tower in the housing). Maybe the MicroGard Select are too short, and under pressure they're dislodged from the cap...

    Microgard Select MSL10010 issue

Greetings to the collective. Just finished an oil change on a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6 and when I took the oil filter cap off the filter was loose (not secured to the cap) in the housing. This is the third time this has happened to me with this number and brand of filter on three different...

My apologies, I misread and thought you were talking about Bimmercode. This looks like a great tool. I have a Foxwell NT710, and for ~ $ 250.00 it's not bad, but this looks to be better. One of the problems with the Foxwell is it won't allow you to go into transfer case service mode. I will...

    ISTA download

Not looking to do coding, and from what ive read Bimmercode isnt an option for me with iDrive 8 and 8.5. I'm primarily looking for service manual type information so I can perform routine maintenance. Seems like the only way to get it in the BMW world is thru ISTA. If I'm missing something...
