Weird, repeated phenomena related to new mower blades… ideas?

I put Oregon's Gator blades on lawnmowers before, yes they are definitely thicker and heavier! They do use a little more fuel because well... they're heavier to spin. But.. They power through thick grass and hardly bog down! I think of that extra weight as muscle to power through! I...

    Mazda CX5 battery inquiry

And I tip my hat to you trying to help the younger generation, I just wish the person had a clue that not heeding your knowledge is going to be a hard lesson to learn. Yes I couldn't agree more, humility is extremely important in life. (y)

    Small SUV needed; advice?

I think with the Pilot you can get a wiring harness adapter that cancels the cylinder deactivation. On the Mazda no such thing exists.

    Post Your Latest CAF Change!

I think you're 100% onto their scam. I've had cars that sat around and had engine and cabin air filters not get dirty just sitting there. Everyday you hear something even lower than low trying to get a quick sale. sick.. but thanks for the update.

    Toyota Oil Filters

I'm post #12.. I wasn't saying I know Toyota filters have a problem with flow. I was referring to the consensus on this forum about the old test saying it didn't filter a lot, then people started saying things about the Toyota filters prioritizing flow over filtration. So no I don't want to...

How to identify a Continental brand serpentine belt?

Yep, it's a hydraulic tensioner, it's amazing how tight it is to release the tension! Which is probably a good sign, should last a long, long time. on the Scion tC, to remove the tensioner, you have to remove the one engine mount and jack the engine up so that one long bolt will come out...

How to identify a Continental brand serpentine belt?

I don't mean to keep commenting every time you post but... I gotta! It's like you've worked on my engine, lol! :D Yup, that tensioner is like concrete! Have to lean into the breaker bar holding the socket on that release pivot of the tensioner! That tension is insane! And I need a 2nd person...

    Toyota Oil Filters

There was always the debate on this forum indicating for the Toyota filter, that flow was more important than filtering, as you found. But if that was so important for Toyota, why did they (based on a decades old test, not able to apply it to today's filter media) prioritize flow over...
