In the US only 5w30 is specified.
I pretty much narrowed it down to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum or Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30. Once the warranty is up I would likely use the Mobil 1 Euro 0w30

Seems odd that the 5w20 would have a better NOACK than the 5w30.
So you wouldn’t necessarily recommend the 5w30 in our 2025 Mazda CX5 turbo?
I am using Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w30 right now.
What would you estimate the NOACK value of the Valvoline Restore and Protect based on this test?
Thinking of using it in my wife's new CX5 Turbo but can't find NOACK numbers on it anywhere
Sorry - I was not clear. That car was out of warranty - just had the standard warranty. It was connecting rod failure. The CX5 has the 10 year warranty
Thanks. I do plan on getting that fluid changed every 20-30k miles. Mazda’s lifetime fluid is probably the lifetime of the warranty - once that’s up they don’t care…..
90% certain I am going with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w30.
