more updateing another run, this time with 5w-30 valvoline extended protection towing trailer during end of summer, iron still down. next up 0w-20 for the cold winter and will dump it in 3 months and see where its at. Now is when the truck starts to sit unused and is short tripped.

Updating this post, did two oil changes this summer, it has followed the typical pattern the past 3 summers now iron has dropped to 12 or .0047parts per mile over 2511miles 90% of which has been towing 6k lbs, as opposed to the winter run that gave me .0157 parts per mile with no towing...

Just did a 1164 mile change 95% of which was towing travel trailer, iron down to 13. Thats putting me about 11 FE per 1,000 miles. I'm gonna guess my end of summer change its gonna drop down even more. It seems to be the pattern now. No noise from the engine other than the injectors...
