    Truck and dirt roads

Has nothing to do with YOUR truck; that's classic for *trucks* in general honestly. I live on a 10-20 mile dirt-road & have all ranges of trucks, stemming from a super heavy truck with a very light-weight rear-end without a load; i.e. dodge cummins 4x4 2500, very notorious for doing the same as...

    First oil change - 1982 Toyota Pickup, 22R, 138k

I had an '85 Toyota p/up 22re - no it was not the diesel version, thought that's what everyone thought. Had that truck for 20+yrs, that truck LOVED 15w-40 in the Vegas desert of 100+ degree temps; in the winter time, we dropped it to 10w-40. However, while living in Colorado we used to take...

Which one's better? QS Defy or Rotella T5 10w-30?

Vehicles in question are all over 100k miles. Just looking for an oil that's better for overall protection, including moisture, etc

    Post your winter rubber!

No need for true winter tires on this truck...you can't really see it, but there's a LOT of factory siping in these tires...they are fantastic in snow, best tires I've had yet in ice as well.

Should I get studs?? And can they be studded?

To those that don't feel I wouldn't be on ice, hard-packed snow a lot, fact is, I am....a LOT. I do locates for utility lines and visit mud roads, dirt-roads that turn to ice that never melt all winter long, etc. If I was strictly on pavement, I wouldn't fret

    Peak green= kryptonite

I don't know, I have a 97 Isuzu that came with conventional green, it's antifreeze was just changed to Autozone green conventional over 3k miles ago, I'm not having any issues. Also have a 96 chrysler caravan, it's antifreeze is conventional green, and it too was changed this summer, about 6k...

Should I get studs?? And can they be studded?

title sounds strange, I know, but I have a '11 4x2 ranger that my company installed dedicated snow/winter tires on about 6k miles ago. These tires are not studded at this time, but have holes for option to stud, so should I and *CAN* I have them studded at this time? Was going to change the...

Goodyear Survey Reveals Winter Driving Attitudes

I've lived in Colorado my entire life, with and without 4-wheel drive and with and without front wheel drive; I've only ever once ran a dedicated set of snow tires and that's on our current t&c minivan. We run the Hankook W409 year-round on this van; but we didn't buy them for snow, honestly...
