So I stopped by a parts shop and was able to double check what approvals the Shell has on the bottle Seems to have the API SN Plus, MB229.5 and BMW LL-01 so I will go with Shell when its time for an oil change.

Our fuel is not the best in the sense that when doing a Vin lookup I see we have option 858 (Engine settings for lower quality fuel). I see on the BMW service record that they use LL01 5W30 oil. I am not sure what the difference between LL01 and LL04 is to be honest. Shell Helix Ultra 5W40...
