Update on the Corvette. It needs a new latch and it will be $850 parts and labor ($600 US). But the part won’t arrive until next week so I probably won’t get the car back until the end of next week (especially since July 1 is Canada Day) The battery was only $340 so that’s less than I expected...

There’s nothing wrong with that. I have always used the parking brake on every car I have owned, even automatics. It’s easier on the parking “locking pin”. Ever park an automatic car on a hill without the parking brake on and then find that it’s a bit harder to get it out of park the next time...

We used to have a few Walmarts with Mr Lubes attached to them and they also sold tires. Before that it was Walmart Lube and tire. I don’t think any Walmarts around here carry tires or do oil changes anymore

The Walmarts here in Guelph and the other Walmarts I visit in other areas still have automotive sections but I have noticed a trend in some locations where they have cut the automotive section down in half.
