I would try a screw extractor first. You may be able to torque it enough to get the body of the valve out. In any case, what have you to lose?

I haven't tied the Amsoil SVG in the tranny. Just do a search of: amsoil +svg +tacoma and you will see a short thread of previous discussion. I really liked the series 2000 and would like to find something similar.

I suspect the leak is right at the PS pump, probably out the back side like water pump leaks. Why not try the junk yard to see if you can get something on the cheap. It's an easy job to replace them, if your not going to rebuilt it.

To my mind, brake fluid (not the racing stuff) is about the same. So I just buy a good brand on sale and replace it (Motiv bleeder) every year.

SERIES 2000 was my hands down favorite. My present replacement is Specialty Formulation, which is also discontinued. Hey guys ... it it ain't broke, don't mess with it!

I had problems similar to your description with a 3-jaw coupler. I replaced it with a 4-jaw and the problems are no more.
