In my opinion, an improvement over the EV version. I think this will pacify some folks for now but hopefully they do add a V8 option at least in the future.
0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds, that's quicker than I thought it would be!
Another note I forgot to make on my last post: sometimes EPR can help with consumption but not always. My Corolla is at 260k miles now, uses about 1/2- 2/3 of a quart every 3000 miles. I ran EPR at 247k for 25 minutes. It didn't make any difference on the consumption. This isn't very high usage...
If it were mine, I would do a Piston soak at the end of current interval. Then keep running VRP and go from there. It's entirely possible that VRP alone will continue to improve the consumption. Impressive results so far, love seeing the before/after compression testing.
I think it's a good idea that you're using a 30wt on that motor. I'm doing the same on mine. Where are you getting the 10010 filter? They've been superseded by the yzzn1(?) filter. I read that the 10010 is a better built filter. Looking forward to your UOA on it.
This is such a good deal! My only thing though; on some of my cars, 12 filters would be possibly 8-10 years worth. Will the filters last, as long as stored properly?
CarQuest Premium, Pentius XL, Microguard Select for me. I'm not up to speed on M1 filters being made in same factory, but if so, add to the list! Sometimes you can get Premium Guards with Rockauto, but it's under the "various mfg's" so hard to know what you may be getting.
I applaud you! Many have been wondering about the long drain capability. Any chance you're going to do a TBN? Thank you for the report, very insightful.
I feel the same way in regard to running it long term.
I would agree it looks really good 👍
I'm all so curious to know if there's any top up oil, how the filter looks, and if the OP was running it just because or trying to clean things up?
