Walmart out of fishing weights- sometimes the world just doesn’t make sense

Any low price seasonal products can run out of inventory if nobody wants to warehouse them because the profit isn't there. Lead can't be in a shortage for that price even if we have ammo shortage. It would have gone up double in price before that happens. Most likely Walmart cut the price they...

Stellantis stock how low will it go?

My guess is the past leverage buyout from private equity and Daimler raided the company and load it up with a lot of debt. This is how many of the previously ok companies end up bankrupt, especially those in the restaurant business.

Stellantis stock how low will it go?

Why would people today buy a 46 mile advertised range for $15k? If you want something that low in range Nissan Leaf is only $4k. It depends. I am more worried that if you turn on the AC your 46 mile range would turn into 26 mile.

I don't think I can go back to gas vehicle due to fuel costs

So I am curious, what are your electricity going into exactly? Based on the days I have at home when I am not around vs when I am, and the days that I am doing laundry, this is what I see based on my climates: 1) Laundry dryer and washer: 6kwh per load on low heat till it dry. Often times it...

Favorite sections of my favorite driving road

Grapevine going downhill from SoCal to NorCal. If you have a slow leak in your radiator your temp gauge would go below 1/4. If you have a weak OEM brake your car would have wobbly brake pads like it is faded. That add some fun to driving a boring car.

Learned My Lesson - Do Not Include Your Phone Number In A Classified Ad

We have disgruntle section 8 applicants who want to sue anyone and everyone. We now use burner phones by the month prepaid and fake names, so when a unit is rented they can't sue us for no reason. "You are discriminating me, I'm suing you" No mam I rent to the same people like you except that...

U-Haul seems to be morphing into a storage company that rents trucks on the side.

I can see a few reasons: often times people think they will use them later, or they are forced by others to get it out of the house yet this is a compromise to buy some time until one side give up. Also some people now use their home for work from home and they need to clear out some space yet...

Lunch at a "old school" 'Chinese restaurant

These old school Chinese restaurants are really labor intensive as you guys can imagine. Hundreds of menu items and customization, stir fried one at a time, got to keep cost low, and long hours. Most were run as a way to immigrate from a low income nation and as they enter middle class the chef...

I don't think I can go back to gas vehicle due to fuel costs

Here is my Jan 26 bill as comparison to yours. I only use about half despite costing more per kwh in the tier 1 and 2 (39c to 49c / kwh). Lots of funny math like generation credit from SVCE and power charge indifference (to compensate PGE for breaking out of their past contract for our municipal...

I don't think I can go back to gas vehicle due to fuel costs

Your winter rate is about my summer it seems. I think since you posted winter rate, you are using electric heating without knowing it. I don't heat much in the winter so it is actually even lower. What we have is the "generation credit" that SVCE is able to knock down from PG&E based on how they...

I don't think I can go back to gas vehicle due to fuel costs

Yes, mine is 35-42c/kwh too. Maybe $200-250 a month during hot season with a 3 ton AC running 8 hours a day, but not $800.

How many kwh did you guys use?

I don't think I can go back to gas vehicle due to fuel costs

How did you end up using $600 a month without AC?

I don't think I can go back to gas vehicle due to fuel costs

Only the AC demand too. The rest of the demands are bursty and you will never be able to align solar generation constantly for that.
