Actually the Michelin Defenders still have 1/2 or better tread left on them. Could no dought, continue to run them A LOT more miles. But seems like they have gotten very hard, resulting in a rougher ride. Also have a little sidewall checking..not too bad. Rand I will check out Discount Tires...

    Magnefine Transmission Filters

Yeah had heard that to, about the counterfeit's. But see a few reputable good brands like wix & motorcraft(ft183), and possible others, but what I've seen there as costly or even more so than original Magnefines, Think the one on amazon is wix branded. Paul

Filtran or other brands w/ microfelt still avail

Are transmission internal pan filters like the filtran brand or others (with the micro felt/fiber) still available for consumer purchase? Or special order? Know they use to make them., in late 90's and early 2k's.They were far superior than the just screen type, that will only filter to 60-100...

    Magnefine Transmission Filters

Is Magnefine trans filter making them now with metallic ends (3/8") as seen on site link (901Memphis shared) instead of plastic ends on the older versions?. Would they be just as good as say installing a remote external filter kit? Thanks Paul

    Pickup Trucks: 2wd vs 4wd

Down here in TX gulf coast area, you see those big 4x4 F250'S, Chevy 3500's & Ram's 3500's up & down the freeways, and think they can go anywhere....until they hit the sand beaches, lol and down they go stuck like a rock in concrete

Interesting convo with local transmission shop

For orig Op, The shop fellow you were talking to,could be right about your car. If equiped with transmission low temp cut-off, trans fluid will not pump to and through the trans cooler line, if he is talking about removing cooler line at radiator. Most trans shops use an exchanger to heat up the...
