I would imagine that the testing methods are validated. If so, almost surely some of the validation criteria would include intermediate precision and robust. The acceptance criteria would be no more than 5% and most likely NMT 1%. Therefore, the variablity between running the tests on different...

The thing is, if the tech asked if it was okay to go with 10W30 and your wife said fine. They didn't do anything wrong. They do that all the time. Some people like to use oil that isn't exactly what the manufacturer requires i.e. 0W30 / 5W30 / 0W40 in vehicle that requires 10W30 etc...

How "Green" is green? I finally got around to making an oil change with the GC that I purchased many months back at Walmart in Mississauga Ontario it didn't at all green? I'll take a pic of the bottle later this evening. I one thing I noticed almost immediate, I had some piston slap on my Z24...

I have enough to do 2 changes. Until I see a couple of UOA, that's it for me. The high Iron content and no moly has me a bit skeptical but it won't be long before we start seeing some results coming ... Plus, who know's what nice find people will discover in the next year or 2. Remember the guy...

Patman and others... What are the virgin oil spec of the SLX vs M1 vs Amsoil? I just picked me up a few more bottles - 13 and counting.... :-) After I run some AutoRx in a 97 Z24 with 113K, I'll be switching over to the SLX on my girlfriends car. I just found out my old car is a write-off...

Whooo hooo. Found 6 bottles at the Walmart on Winston/401 on Saturday! They didn't have any more in the back and had a few of the old Ow30 left. I'd like to have enough for 2 full changes though. Anyone know if Walmart will be bringing additional shipments of the German brand? Paco
