The Ativere gun has M56x2.5 thread and the Maketips (who thinks of these names?!?) has M60x2.5. The Ativere looks more rugged, so I'm settling on that one. My in-house machinist says we're not equipped to cut the threads. My plastic fabricator is looking at making adapters out of UHMW or nylon...
Both Amazon guns have coarser thread than the Milwaukee, etc. Looks like M60x2.5. I messaged Ox-Rock to see if they would make a coarse thread adapter and am looking into having one of my guys make it. My local machine shop guesses it'd be at least $400 for them to do it.

I bought a couple of Milwaukee-compatible guns on Amazon for $66 and $80 that mount the cartridge with some space between the body of the cartridge and the body of the gun. I'll fit it all together tomorrow, but I'm very optimistic that they will work with the Ox-Rock adapter and the fatter...
