1. The thinnest motor oil I acknowledge the existence of is 30 weight. 20 weight and thinner does not exist in my world.
2. Most everyone here cares way too much about oil, including me. Most everyone in the driving public doesn't care enough. The "right" amount of caring is a lot closer to the...
1. Correct specs for my application - my opinion, may or may not match what the MFG says I should use.
2. Mostly brand agnostic but will avoid UltraOnePlus, Triax, and any no name dollar tree stuff. Lesser known but solid brands or store brands are perfectly fine.

2. I have a UOA showing the oil is fine with a re-used filter
3. I rack up the same miles the OP did all year in 3 weeks
4. The...

2. It's a high performance engine so you want to get all the old oil out of the filter, but then want to put the...
I mostly didn't intend to build up a stash, just stocked up when on sale. Most of it is $8 and $12/gal Delo 5w40 XSP. I did stock up on 0w40 Mobil Euro for the shortage, to take care of friends and family not in a position to stock up. 5w40 XSP is basically the perfect universal oil, 0w40 Euro...
In that situation, I'd still buy a 5 quart jug and have a few years of oil on hand. It keeps. Preferably consolidate with another engine or vehicle and use the same oil in both. 0w30 is pretty universal.
