    155k miles on 1 Toyota filter...video

Air filters in newer cars are good for 50-60k generally. My last filter went 55k and the inside of the air box had no dirt or dust.

Brutality with intent to kill.......driving a 10000 ft pass in a 67vw Bug in third gear, with 4 people in the car, in the middle of winter. Painful for the car and equally painful for the occupants.

1998 BMW M3, 199k and just tires, front brakes, and fluid and filter changes changes. Good car, and fun. 1996 Tacoma 4x4 3.4 v6, 288k. Same as above. Oh, and both had new plugs too. 10k oci for both. Still driving them.

Are there any new sedans capable of 300k miles?

This is a funny thread. In the future we will all be driving electric cars.....and all cars will be able to go 300k. But the roads will be clogged and it will be easier multipurpose transportation. We won't be driving much.

    15K OCI R53 2006 Mini Cooper S 144k

She's driving 10-11k a year. Pick a bmw approved oil for your mini and change it once a year. No problem and no brain damage. Just keep it topped up.

Another too much oil in the sump thread

The vehicle needs to be level when the oil is drained. If it's up on ramps then jack the other end up to make it level before you drain. You'll get complete drain when the vehicle is level. (even though a little old oil will always remain in the engine).
