That's a picture of my 2015 owner's manual. I don't have a picture of it, but Hyundai issued a TSB on the Theta II engines ages ago. 5W20 was recommended in the 2.4 and 5W30 in the 2.0T for "efficiency" but as you can see, the owner's manual was pretty much self-explanatory. The TSB upped the...
First oil change at 1000 miles. Second around 3500. Every 5K after that. OEM filter. With the exception of two (but with the OE filter) every oil change was done at the dealership with me bringing the oil. I bring the M1 to the dealership for the 2021 as well.
I'm just north of Dallas and get two 5-quart jugs (holds 6.5) of 0W30 at any local Walmart. The price remained stable for a long time at $24.97. Right now it's going for $29.97. I have not seen the 0W40 on any of their shelves honestly.
I went from a 2015 Sonata 2.0T gdi to a 2021 Sonata N Line with the direct and port injected 2.5T. The oil stays remarkably cleaner much longer and zero soot on the tailpipes.
I am most definitely not a chemical engineer, but I do agree with you from my years of experience working in the auto industry. Now retired. I bought a leftover 2015 Sonata 2.0T in March of 2016 as a daily driver/road trip vehicle. I was unaware of the Theta II engine issues when I did...
Thank you very much for that.
They include free oil changes for 3/36. Since their schedule is 8K, thats four oil changes. I've handled this car the way I handle every new vehicle. I paid for an oil change at 1000 miles then again at around 4,000 mi. They covered the 8, 16, and 24. I covered the...
Of course not. That's what I searched and that's why I came to ask here. I don't have a bottle of it on hand to read, and every picture of the bottles I found online gets to blurry when I try to zoom in on them.
