Yes, I had both AVG and McAfee on it for a while. It all started going wrong when both were on and it didn't get better when I removed the McAfee.

Oh, I did remove the McAfee, bc I paid for the AVG and wasn't going to remove a program I paid for. Also, I didn't hear good things about McAfee.

This happened after my internet provider downloaded a free version of McAfee a/v when I already had AVG. Then things started going wrong. The AVG does automatic scans and there is never any viruses but it has stopped some intruders.
