Is there any risk of damage to seals and gaskets running diesel in this engine?

Unaware of "sludge" problems in this model, I bought a '99 Concord with 77K miles. Oil was pretty black when I got it. Have 1K miles on new oil & filter. Has used about 1 pint but is still only slightly discolored. Engine is quiet and runs well with lots of power. Have been advised to do 1K OCI...
