Unless I find something on clearance or deep discount, my go to is Kirkland 5W-30. If it's a diesel or needs a JASO MA2 oil my go to is Providence 15W40 synthetic blend or Rotella T6 5W-40, whichever is cheapest at the time.

I've used Idemitsu TLS- LV in a 2021 Camry with the Aisin UB80E 8 speed. No problems after about 30k miles. I've used Valvoline Maxlife before that with no issues. The very first fluid change I used Maxlife and it seemed to immediately a weird shifting issue on the 3-4 or 4-5 shift.

Can't find any posts where someone used HPL in a 4l60e. I've got an original 4l60e in my C1500 with close to 400k on it. I've used Maxlife in the past, but am considering HPL due to the 4th of July sale. The 4l60e originally specs Dexron III. I know that Dexron VI is supposed to be backwards...

Mystik 3% Moly lithium based grease

There's not a whole lot of info online concerning people using Aisin ATF-HCV as a substitute for Honda HCF-2 fluid. I found this technical data sheet that claims it covers both Honda's CVT and HCF-2 part numbers. Anyone here have any experience? I'm interested in using it in my 2019 HRV.

I've never seen a plate like that before. I've always stuck with Fram and Supertech filters, so I guess I'm just not used to this design. Anybody know the purpose of the extra plate? It seems pointless to me, but it wouldn't be there for no reason.

Hey, you're partially to blame for my curiosity. Maybe if you didn't use a Tough Guard for 28k, a long run on a Titanium wouldn't have piqued my interest. I figure if a TG can do it, why can't a Titanium. @Linctex is also implicated due to his 50k run on a TG
