I needed a NYS inspection today and the dealer was closed.
Went to Jiffy Lube since they were the only place open. The kid working there stalled the car about ten times driving it into the bay, but whatever.
I stayed in the car the whole time (too many bad experiences. I don’t let the car out...
I disagree. I believe mine to be "cheap" and it's not beat or high mileage. Does it have dings and scratches? Yes. But it's in great shape and I took really good care of it, as did the prior owner.
They're out there, just tough to find.
I'm selling mine if you can drive a manual. I just took a job downtown and I don't want to sit in stop and go traffic for 1+ hour with a manual.
Located in NY but willing to ship.

Oh wow, I didn't think this would even get to 6 pages!
So I've been in the market for a 1/2 ton for a while now. Toyota just isn't putting the cash on the hood of these trucks, mainly due to low inventory.
Here's what I wanted to get:
The best price I could get on that truck, a 2020 Tundra...
I think it's fake wood (plastic.) Some Tundra guys have had issues with it cracking. This truck had a little over 4,000 miles on it and the wood was like new.
Looks are pretty subjective, but this truck looks a lot better in person. Most modern vehicles look better in person. It's hard to...
I recently spent a week driving a 2020 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition Crewmax. Here are my thoughts.
The Exterior Still Looks Good
While the third generation Tundra that debuted in 2014 is largely unchanged, there are subtle updates that make the truck look more modern. Things like the chrome...
If you're going to tow a boat do yourself a favor and get the F150.
I tow a boat and trailer weighing nearly 5k with a midsize. An old midsize (2003 Dodge Dakota.) I'm going full size for my next truck.
I've towed the boat with a new Tacoma, new Colorado. They can all do it just fine, but...
Just take the battery out and store it in a cool, damp place. I wouldn't stress over being able to use a tender. I would do everything in my power to keep the car out of the elements.
Volatility is here to stay. Buying and selling is too easy, anyone with a cell phone can do it.
I generally follow the Bogleheads investment theory. I'll be buying whether the market is at 3000 or 30.
Set a reminder every year for Jan 1 to review your allocations and rebalance as necessary...
Probably because it's an undesirable car with 150k on it.
Most people shopping in that category want reliability. They don't necessarily care about cleanliness.
My friend has sold countless rusty Civics in that price range with similar mileage. It's all about what you're selling.
Also your...
