I love the engine, fuel economy is much better than my Silverado, and I lose little get up and go. It seems nobody is pushing the botique oils over Mobil 1, good to know. Would the 5W-40 mobil 1 be a good choice for year-round use?

Toyota recommends a 5w-30, I had trouble in my old toyota with valve train noise and piston slap with the old tri syn and earlier mobil 1 5w-30.

Hi, I just picked up an 04 Tacoma 4X4 with a 3.4 V6, does anybody have an oil recommendation for this vehicle. Can I switch oils right away? I was considering Mobil 1 5W-40. Would it work well in this application? Thanks.

I know this is a little weak, but bare with me. I was looking at GC at autozone and noticed that the bottle says for sale in the US only, I know GC is made in Germany but that does not mean the packaging or printing is. Is it possible it is a GroupIII so Castrol says only for sale in the US...

I hope GC ends up being a PAO. I have used Mobil 1 for years but have one thing I am uncomfortable with, in my 90 toyota pickup I get alot of valve train noise at startup.
