a curious little video about Canadian / US border

Cool video. I found it amusing that when I was visiting Goat Island in Niagara Falls, NY, that Canada was actually south of me.

    Ebay sellers Question

This information is old, but I believe eBay still lets the bidding go up the 50% of Buy-It-Now price (BIN), before the BIN disappears. http://community.ebay.com/t5/eBay-Motors...ts/td-p/1932623 My opinion: let eBay take the BIN down. EDIT: Later in the thread 70% is mentioned. Looks like YMMV.

A/C E-core Oil Filters Any Good?

    While I don't endorse them, I have used about a half-dozen AC/D PF47e's (e-core version of PF47) without any problems.

    What oil in 88 Buick?

If your Buick has the 3800 VIN C engine, you should be fine running 5w30 all year. My '89 Olds Delta 88 (3800 VIN C) specified 5w30 as the preferred fill and ran great on 5w30, right up to the day I junked it, this past June, at 269,000 miles, because of severe rust. I'm not aware of any...

    Leak-free refrigerant can tap

I use a Mastercool 85510 tap for top-off cans. I put a drop of mineral oil on the gasket before tapping, and don't over-torque. No problems with leakage yet. They're kind of pricey, though. I bought a set of 3 off of eBay years ago for a decent price.

    Swimming pool - mosquito heaven

+1 on the mosquito dunks. In the spring I have standing water problems in the yard and use the dunks. I bought the dunks from Arbico Organics.

    60$ vehicle registration fees,gotta love'em!

Just paid $76.50 for my Buick (2 years). At least I got a $30 DMV refund because the 2nd year hadn't begun for my '89 Olds when I junked it and turned in the plates.
