    You don't mail your rebate to Mobil, but rather to a rebate processing clearinghouse who processes them. How would you expect any company to be able to find one specific submission? I got my rebate just fine.

    RP 5W-20, 5W-30, and 10W-30 are API licensed, though not against SM for some reason (only SL). Give them credit for not trying to intentionally mislead consumers with carefully chosen adjectives in front of the API specs they reference. No mention of GM4718M on their online data sheet. Wonder...

    AutoZone currently has 5 qts of Mobil 1 and a M1 filter for $29 (through July 1). Advance also has a $29 special for 5 qts of certain Mobil 1 versions and a M1 filter through June 24. Has anyone see the new M1 cartridge filters on the shelf at any retailer yet?

    It's all a marketing decision - no rules or regulations. ConocoPhillips now even defines regular Group II as "synthetic" now. Quote: "Formulated with a unique, proprietary additive in a blend of high-quality synthetic Group II base stocks"
