    Low priced oil / filters for riding lawn tractors with Briggs and Stratton engines.

    I like to use a good synthetic. I used Amsoil small engine oil 10w-30 in my old lawn mower 550cc single cylinder Briggs. They have know head gasket issues. I felt a good synthetic oil would prevent it going bad. I bought the mower with the gasket that was bad. Mower smoked like crazy...

    brushcutter gear case grease

    I have been just using the Amsoil water resistant grease in my Honda brush cutter. I have never rebuilt it, just inject every once in awhile. I did cut a crud load of blackberry bushes here about a month ago. I worked it hard. Hopefully I don't shear the gears.........

    Is amsoil severe duty gear oil THAT much better than the rest?

    Just an FYI, Amsoil does make lubes for wind turbines. But they are certainly not close to any of the automotive lubes in formulation. :giggle:

    I was going to saying if that was the case........................ That is usually a sign of a company going bankrupt.......:giggle: I don't see that happening anytime soon.

    Any bypass filter will only filter a small percentage of oil. Maybe up to 10%. Depends on engine/oil pump, volume/pressure, and bypass orifice size.

    I would flush it probably 3 times if I had done the wrong fluid. Then run with it.

    Just peaks my curiosity why Kawasaki would say 550? It seems to crank at a decent speed.
