    Probably 4 reasons. 1 the 2stroke gas can happened to be closer. 2 the only gas I happened to have is 2stroke gas. 3 burn off old 2 stroke gas to get fresh gas or oil. 3a someone gave me premix like trufuel and I'm burning it up in my mower. 4 do it because for some reason it drives people...

    Obviously. I've rebuilt both 2 stroke and 4 stroke small engines. I've even worked on big 2 stroke diesel engines.

I have no idea why you think 2 stroke oil will do one thing in a 2 stroke engine and then do something completely different in a 4 stroke engine.
