    I actually like to use one of the foaming tire cleaners. Use an entire can to cover the engine bay. Let it sit until the foam is gone and hose off.

    Which 3/4" 6-point. socket to depend on?

    I would just pick up an impact socket in the size you need. I stay away from the Craftsman sockets for high torque jobs since I had one crack up the side and cause my fist to hit the concrete. Warranty means nothing on the side of the road when your only tool breaks.

    Filters that mount vertically = PITA

    I cut the top off a 2 liter soda bottle and hold it up to cover the filter. Finish unscrewing the filter and let it drop right into the plastic bottle.
