Not really an emergency just after hours repair I was just curious about what filter could replace it if we did run across this issue again. There was a part store that was open about a quarter mile away and if I could have found a replacement we could have verify the issue was from the fuel filter.

I just ran into a situation where I needed it last night and was too far away from a part store that would carry it / some closed. We run a mobile repair business and have a truck last night that wouldn't run was just trying to find a temporary alternative.

Is there possibly a smaller version that would be more readily available that it crosses to?

It's like a F700 or something with a cat in it the filter is remote

Fuel filter on an older Ford diesel, what is a common filter that could be found at a parts store to use in a pinch when that is not available any ideas? ,thanks

No question was based on the fact that everybody here says go longer without changing, and when I used to be a shop manager I've seen oil drain plugs removed and nothing come out or oil pans removed and a mechanic dropped it because it was so heavy
