Can you recommend an oil filter for a 2013 Subaru Outback 3.6r? This will be for my first OC since ownership and switch to synthetic. In my previous thread someone stated that Subes run well with OEM filters, not that im opposed to them but can anyone recommend any others based on experience...

Ya at oildepot.ca the rep said i could do that for free for the first 6 months. I think i may go ahead and do that, i'm always wary of deals were you have to sign up.

I havent done an oil change on it yet since i purchased the vehicle. I know conventional oil is in it and waa services while on lease to the previous owner. I've put 3000 KM on it too date and will wait till i reach 5/6000 km to do the change and switch over from conventional to synthetic.

Any particular place you would recommend? In Canada preferably

Great thanks! I was also looking at Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Synthetic, if Amsoil is hard to find, oildepot ca offers wholesale prices if you sign up for a preferred customer package. Can i grab OEM filters anywhere else besides the dealer?
