Why do you need a quick connect? Just switch the nipple or stuff the hose over the existing one and use a clamp. This is not rocket science. The CM Tools cap is readily available and cheap.
Good point! Mobil DTE Heavy is ISO 100. There are lots of options in R&O/Turbine oils in that weight. Most sold in 5-gallon pails. I use DTE Light in my lathe. Some people confuse this type of oil with hydraulic oil, which is different, but typically works okay interchangeably. It's not...
Thanks for the part numbers. I bought these and installed them on my mower. The foam filter is quite thin, but it should knock down a fair bit of the debris.
I'm using this cap and a Motive pressure bleeder. I simply stuffed the Motive hose over the barb and sealed it with a hose clamp. Works great.
When bleeding, I don't bother with brake fluid in the bleeder. Just watch the level in the master and top off are needed.
The layshaft bearings in the Triumph transmission are a major weak point. While the main shaft bearings are large caged ball type, the laygear is supported by small needle bearings, which commonly fail. And when the bearings fail, they take out the laygear & layshaft, which are expensive...
