M1 5W30 EP vs ESP : Which would you run a longer OCI with ?

@Patman What do you think about a '24 civic 2.0 strictly highway driven with some light highway stop and go? I run 300 miles a week on the highway ( takes me no time to get on the highway for the commute ). Im running EP now and have been... I usually go for a 6-7500oci, wondering if it would be...

Back down this road again: 0w-20 Civic 2.0 NA highway commuter car

SAme. The warranty isnt for the mechanical aspect but the computers and the sensors. You can get cHEAP OEM warranties now online. Many dealers sell them for 100 or so dollars over cost. I got 10 yr, 125k on the Grand Highlander for 2100$ no debatable. Is what it is

Back down this road again: 0w-20 Civic 2.0 NA highway commuter car

Here is an excerpt from the OM. Looks like 0w-20 and API seal is the only requirements I see. Again I get the RECOMMENDED wording but I dont want to give them any reason to deny any issues. They have more time and money than I do. ( see attached image ) My car is a 24 so Im going to add the...

Back down this road again: 0w-20 Civic 2.0 NA highway commuter car

No I get it. I get about 39.5 on the way to work and 41 going home. Not sure why but its repeatable day after day. So the ESP is within the warranty aspects of the O.M?

M1 EP 0w20 is on rollback

There hasnt been a lot of proof that some fuel dilution isnt an instant killer for engines generally speaking. Who did your UOA? we all know that Blackstone isnt all that accurate on the dilution percentages.

Back down this road again: 0w-20 Civic 2.0 NA highway commuter car

My car only has about 25k on it. I do 300 miles a week, as its a commuter for work only. Typically Im right at 2k rpms going into work and I do hit some stop and go while on the trip back home but will get about 50% highway speeds. Have you used M1 EP?

Back down this road again: 0w-20 Civic 2.0 NA highway commuter car

I guess what Im stuck on, is it just says API approval. It doesnt state what level. Unless Im not reading it right?

Back down this road again: 0w-20 Civic 2.0 NA highway commuter car

SO there is zero issue with it meeting the requirements for the warranty? Yes Im one of those guys, I like to stay within the parameters of the manual so warranty doesnt get voided. All I see for the civic is it says 0w-20 and an API certified oil

Back down this road again: 0w-20 Civic 2.0 NA highway commuter car

So I have a port injected 2.0 civic that is a commuter but literally 95% highway. Im currently running OEM filter and M1 EP 0w-20 oil. The OLM always says I have tons of life left with the oil, for instance currently Im at 70% lift and 4750 miles driven. Seems crazy, I guess the car is saying...
