U-Haul seems to be morphing into a storage company that rents trucks on the side.

Well, it's the other way around. Rent a truck, get a free month (seriously). Except... when there's no available storage units.

U-Haul seems to be morphing into a storage company that rents trucks on the side.

I recently rented a trailer from U-Haul for a small task. Yes, I could have found some help and loaded the bulky and heavy item into the back of one of the pickups (and then back out again)... but for $19, I could wheel the item up a ramp by myself, and move it using a trailer that is only...

Toyota Tundra used- 2019 and 2024-- same dealer in Arizona- look at the price differential

But when you DO stop, it could be as much as $150.00 to fill up... or more.

Best trailer tires for the long term?

There's a UHaul trailer parked in my driveway right now, with the Carlstar Radial Trail HD's on it. As many trailer tires that UHaul has in service at any given time, and they trust this tire.... that would make them good enough for me.

Phone line tool- any reason to keep?

A butt set. I haven't seen one of those in years, especially since I got out of telco.

Oil change interval for heavy use Predator 5000 inverter generator

For longevity, I'd never go past a 100 hours interval on anything air cooled, regardless of the oil. That's just me.

Pleasant Tire Purchase Experience At WalMart

I've been a fan of the Wal-Mart exclusive Douglas tires for years now. A few years back, Dad's girlfriend needed a set of tires for her higher mileage Town and Country. Timing was just right and Wal-Mart was clearing out the older 50,000 mile Douglas "All-Season" model, and got them for $65...

Ford going from Google based to Apple based infotainment?

Honda is walking away from Sirius/XM. I just rented a 2026 CR-V with a manufacture date of 6/26, and it did not have Sirius/XM at all. Salesman at the local Honda dealership confirmed this.

No more wood to be stored near home, rodent wants the wood

That looks like damage from carpenter bees.

    No Civic SI for 2027

The Honda Ridgeline is also taking a hiatus for 2027. Read that the 3.5 liter V6 it uses isn't going to meet emissions regulations for much longer, so it has to go.

Do you or have you owned a rusty vehicle?

Around here, body shops just aren't interested in rust repairs.. and they'll tell you that to your face.

    2027 GM Fullsize - Finally E-Coated

My 2004 GMT800 has been through 21 northern Illinois winters, and the frame is just now starting to show surface rust. Considering the way that the corrupt Illinois Department of Transportation applies salt to our roads, I do not see how a painted frame would have fared any better, than the...
