Thats a dodge and chevy thing. The new mustangs are using 3 valves, rather than 2 on the GT's..
But back on topic, I only use 5W-20 MC or PP.
Thanks
Ford is still a good company and its good they are repairing the padding and accelerator issues.
If I had a cobra with a stuck accelerator pedal, I'd push in the clutch, and pull over. The rev limiter would cut the fuel pump off and then I'd just unpop the pedal with my foot.

Yeah, I guess I'll just stick to my 4.6l mustang that gets 18/26mpg on 87 octane. I don't want to deal with 11-17mpg. Thanks for the replies.

Any of you guys out there with the new Hemi engines have any problems? (2005-2006)

Havoline is pretty good. I used it in a V-8 Mustang with no problems (5W-20) It has a high flash point (460 deg f) and rivals most synthetics. Go to www.havoline.com and look up the "product data information database" and choose havoline and the specific grade.

For the Ford 5.4L plug isssue, I'm sure the plugs...
What kind of oil filter are you using on the Silverado? I say try 10w-30 or the 10w-40 you mentioned before and the stock filter or a purolator. My father has an 05 Tahoe with the new 5.3L V-8. No noises going on there.
Where did you hear that Ford 5.4L engines shoot out plugs? Maybe when using...
