    We're done, Motorcraft.

If you get a chance look at the cutaway of an Amsoil filter with the metal screen mesh attached to the synthetic media, no paper at all. Amsoil claims 20 micron filtration at a very high efficiency percentage, and good for 25K miles with the Signature oil.

Help me pick atf, transfer case, and diff fluid

Check out the Amsoil specs for those items, and the written guarantee, but notice the disclaimer about "severe service" and "normal use".

    5.56 vs 2.23

If the primers aren't blowing out, or the bolts not sticking with the 50,000+ CUP pressures, then maybe not a problem in certain guns?

    Looking for a netbook

Is the Dell netbook the model that requires the 2-year sign-up with AT&T data service? At $60 per month, $1440 for 2 years, it seems a bit high, for most users perhaps.

Handgun permit holders, do you carry your gun?

My Glock 26 always goes with me on vacation. It stays right here on the table by me at home. I have various garments sold by the NRA to accommodate easy carry.

    Home defense shotguns

Mine's a Mossberg 835 with 3.5" shells, folding stock, and extended magazine. I was looking at Benelli shotguns at Gander Mountain; a bit pricey, and none of them came with a short enough barrel (for me) for defense. If this is the weapon of choice, then one might plan on the expense of an extra...

So what batteries do you BITOG folks like?

Optima Yellow Top in my Rubicon; I use the original battery as a spare. The original factory battery in my '00 F-150 is still working well, and after 8 years!

    Why don't OEM's use 0W oil?

It may very well be as previously suggested: Value received for the cost of 0W-x vs 5W-x. Cost out-weighs the possible benefits of the 0W-x over 5W-x. The less expensive for the mfg. the better for them.

Advice needed: A good first handgun?

Lots of good advice so far. Handle as many pistols/revolvers as you can to get a "feel". It may not be as practical as actually shooting one, and shooting one first may be best, before you invest any money. A .22 will be the cheapest way to go if the gun is shot very much.

    what are good computer specs...

Go to Tiger Direct.com and see what they have for building one. Don't scrimp on the power supply or RAM memory or the Hard Drive. If you do a lot of gaming they can fix you up. Personally, I want the fastest clock speed in the processor, probably a "dual core" from Intel or AMD, and at least...

What kind of safe do you have?

Th A.G English web site is a good resource for information about safes. I got a treadlock, and walled off the end of a long walk-in closet and used a concealed dead bolt lock in the new door. In 22 years never a problem with thieves here, with all of the target shooting that used to go on around...

Help! Need some oil w/ zinc TODAY

Amsoil has 3 different viscosities in the Dominator Syns: 5W-20, 10W-30, and 15W-50. These are fairly new and may serve well.

Cut open my Amsoil 103 - Hmmmmm

Metal particals like that can't be anything but harmful to the innards of that bike. It wouldn't hurt to get the bike examined by a mechanic.

    Good battery brands?

My 2000 F-150 still has its original battery after 8 years. I put a yellow top Optima in the Jeep.

    Hunting Gun

Since you mentioned skeet use also: Depending on how serious you are about skeet, there are a wide range of possibilities. Perhaps a 20 Ga. double, because of the balance/handling, and if you shop, a used one may be the way to go if you can get someone qualified to evaluate it. If you decide on...
