We just traded my Wife's 9 year old Toyota 4Runner with 165,400 miles. 4.0L V6, running like a top, only routine maintenance performed every 10,000 miles used Mobile one 10w-30 the entire life of the car. The only major repairs were new shocks, brake job and new belts on the engine.

My wife just bought a new 2017 toyota 4 runner, with the 4.0 V6. I must have 5 or 6 one gallon jugs of Mobil 1 -10w-30, Once the two free oil changes from Toyota, are done, will it hurt this engine to run the 10w-30 in it? I have been running Mobile One for 20 years with no complaints, but never...

I just bought a new 2017 Camry with the 2.5L engine. Are there any particular problems, oil or otherwise related, I need to watch for on this engine? Or is it like my other Toyota V8 and V6 which if you change oil and filter regularly seem to last forever?

I want to use 5w/30 with all my heart and soul in my new Tundra. I am afraid it will cause high pressure and grenade the engine. Because it is still on warranty Toyota won't fix it. There has to be a serious dark reason why Toyota demands 0w-20.

Have any of you had experience with Motorkote Hyperlubricant? Does it work as advertised. Should I be using in the family vehicles?

Is it true that Dealer maintenance departments may be spawns of the devil?

We have a 2015 Prius. Our Toyota dealer uses 0w-20 TGMO, and the OCI is 10,000k. At 5,000 intervals they inspect the vehicle, top off fluids if needed and rotate tires only. Try reading your maintenance interval manual that comes with the vehicle. For an oil change etc. we are usually in and out...

I only use Mobile 1 EP in our family vehicles. Have only use Mobile synthetic for the past 15 years. I use PYB in the lawn mowers.
