1. I would think holding more is removing more. 2. I wonder what the error of margin is between 20 microns and 23 microns. Suffice it to say they are both fairly decent products when it comes to oil filtration. Anything more is splitting an already split hair.

NAPA states their platinum filter removes 100% more dirt than their 19 micron gold filter. If what NAPA states is true, on what basis do you believe the Fram ultra is superior?

My understanding is the particle size filtration in the Gold is better than in the Platinum.
