Going on my first long towing trip of 300 miles next weekend. I have a scangauge 3 so I will monitor all temps closely.
So far the only thing I dont like is the boxer shake and rattle on cold starts. I take a 30 min lunch break in the car and with the hybrid system the shake can get fairly strong.
The 2019 and older did NOT have dana differential. It was a Nissan brand.
I know, believe me the Nissan diffs where terrible.
I see you have a Dana in the 2025, that is great, much better but I would change the oil and get rid of the junky Nissan diff vent.
My 2015 has 260000 miles but with a...
I just reached 1000 miles so did a brief test run
Pulled my 800# trailer great plenty of power and no problems with wind buffing no problem merging
All temps normal
Will post on a longer trip
I’m impressed
The Nissan Differnatal is not that great on the older trucks. I didn't change till 50000 miles and didn't know about the junky Nissan vent. It started making noise at 110000 miles and died at 150000. change the oil regularly
I just bought a 2026 Forrestor Hybrid. On a side note, the "boxer" shake on startup takes some getting used to. Also had a about 3 to 5 sec "diesel" rattles. I guess it's the direct injection. Otherwise, been great. Ive heard the boxer engine is nosier on cold startup.
Is you boxer cold on startup??
