    MotoMaster OEPlus European 0W40

From the back label, seems like "Imperial Oil" makes Mobil 1 FS 0W-40 sold in Canada? Do they also make it, and the same formulation, for the USA market? There's no mention of pour point on the Canadian page...

    Mobil 1 ESP/ X3 vs FS 0w-40

M1 "ESP Formula 0W-40" is NOT A40, only dexos2, https://www.mobil.com/en/lubricants/for-personal-vehicles/our-products/products/mobil-1-esp-formula-0w-40/ M1 "ESP X3 0W-40" is NOT A40 either, but is C40, and has a bunch of other approvals, etc...

Only 8000 of those rebates though (see terms and conditions), so hurry hurry hurry! :)

It's on sale now for $32 at Canadian Tire. ;)

    Mobil 1 ESP/ X3 vs FS 0w-40

What's your point? bonjo was talking about using Mobil 1 FS 0W-40. The oil you linked to is a different oil. Also, A40 is not an API spec, it's a Porsche spec. Toyota engines don't call for Porsche specs. If it was me, I'd probably use a full saps oil in that engine too, unless it was burning a...

    Mobil 1 ESP/ X3 vs FS 0w-40

See first paragraph: https://www.api.org/products-and-services/engine-oil/eolcs-categories-and-classifications/oil-categories I don't see how availability should become an issue, and if it does, you can switch to something else? 🤔

C55 AMG - Oil recommendations for Track usage?

I think others' suggestions of 229.3 5W-50 etc. are good though, possibly better than mine. :)

C55 AMG - Oil recommendations for Track usage?

I've had trouble finding the PP Euro LX 0W-30 in Ontario, Canada recently, for what it's worth. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Pennzoil-Platinum-Euro-Full-Synthetic-0W-40-Motor-Oil-5-Quart/245761151 ... if you don't mind by mail. I would prefer the 5W-40 if I was in your climate though, and I would...

C55 AMG - Oil recommendations for Track usage?

All of these posts, and I did not find even mention of Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5W-40 (with MB-Approval 229.5)? Have you tried it? Not sure about the track (dont have any such experience, but can't see why not), but for daily driving definitely. I don't understand any concern with 5W or even 10W...

Suggested Oil For 2022 Honda Civic Si - 1.5 l turbo

If you're going to use xW-20 for now, then count me as another vote for Mobil 1 EP 0W-20 (given what OVERKILL has written about it, and if you don't mind the slightly higher price). It's currently at Partsource for $38+tax for 4.73 litres; Canadian Tire just finished a sale that had it for...

Suggested Oil For 2022 Honda Civic Si - 1.5 l turbo

If it was my car, and I could, warranty-wise, I would consider: Pennzoil Platinum Euro LX 0W-30 (especially for winter), Pennzoil Platinum Euro L 5W-30, Mobil 1 (European Formula) 0W-40, Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5W-40 (probably only for summers) And probably change roughly every 6mth/8000km...

Any reason I can't use 5W30 short term for engine calling for 0W20?

Out of curiosity, are you doing anything special to the hybrid battery before starting the car up? Anything to the engine? Cranking a few times by hand, maybe a bit of oil through the plug hole, anything like that? I'm hopefully going to get one back on the road soon too, which has been sitting...

Mobil1 5W40 FS x2: What is the point?

Maybe smaller companies market more expensive products that have more expensive components, because people who look at those smaller companies when deciding what oil to buy, might be willing to pay more for something with more 'performance'? The big companies cater mostly to the masses, and the...
