    Tygon fuel line

I have used theTygon yellow with E10 fuel and found that it hardens and starts leaking in about 2 years or less. Viton tubing or any tubing used on automobile fuel systems will handle E10 long term.

    Two Stroke How To

    You're talking my language.

Running a two stroke at 60:1 or 70:1

Sure you can use ashless TCW3 in a Lawn Boy at 32:1, but you can also use oil not rated TCW3 in a Lawn Boy.

Running a two stroke at 60:1 or 70:1

This is what 40:1 Amsoil Saber looks like in a Lawn-Boy after about 15 hours. There is pooled oil in the muffler cover. It definitely needs to run at a higher ratio to prevent this.

    Plastic caged crankshaft bearings?

The use of a plastic cage in a chainsaw ball bearing could be for lubrication. The plastic cage might trap and hold more oil from the fuel mix and some ball bearing plastic cages have a lubricant mixed in with the plastic. It probably was a engineering decision. Regardless, I always preferred...

    Ethanol vs fuel lines

Chinese tubing can easily be garbage, however E10 does not usually affect any decent fuel line. I sometimes use viton tubing which stands up to almost everything but is expensive.

Post your latest 2 stroke mix

Most two cycle oils are now formulated to run at a 50:1 ratio and give all the lubrication a two cycle engine needs. Around fifty years ago SAE 30 oil was the recommended oil for many two cycle engines at a 32:1 ratio. The early two cycle oils were not much better than the SAE 30, and by that I...

Does anyone still make 2 Cycle Push Mowers?

Hi Wrenchturner44, They are worth whatever someone will pay. List one for what you would like to get on Craiglist and see what offers you get. My interest in Lawn Boys are models from the 70's.

Does anyone still make 2 Cycle Push Mowers?

I have been using two stroke Lawn Boy mowers for many years. It is sad they are no longer produced. When Lawn Boy dealers were closing back in the 80's and 90's I bought several parts inventories. I now assemble my own new models from these NOS parts for collection and use and not for sale. Both...

    Keep the points?

Breaker points work well and are usually cheaper than electronic. When installing new breaker points sometimes they don't close properly and only make contact on an edge, shortening their life. This can usually be corrected by bending the fixed contact support L to align as perfectly as possible...

It’s Official: Generator Ban Passes in California

Oh, and how about the plane(s) you flew on to Germany and back. Just think of the emissions it pumped into the upper atmosphere. I wonder how many lawn mowers it would take to equal that? I think most air travel should be banned.

1996 Lawn boy Silver Series 10202 - Carb kit ?

Check the on/off switch to make sure it is working properly. With Lawn Boy ignition modules, never let the spark plug wire just hang when cranking the engine, connect it to another grounded spark plug or a test plug with grounding clip.

    2 stroke equipment mix ratio

All two cycle oils lubricate, from the old two cycle oils of 50 years ago up to today's two cycle oils and even the once used straight 30. Does any one of them lubricate better than the others? I think it would be hard to determine. There are other real reasons why today's two cycle oils are...
